Have you ever asked yourself, “What is the purpose of my life?” We all have. It’s a universal question that every human being wants to know the answer to. In this blog post, we will explore four main questions that everyone will seek to answer for our lives - identity, origin, destiny, and purpose. Join me as we dive into this topic and discover what God has in store for us.
Who Am I?
The first question we must ask ourselves is, “Who am I?” This is a question of identity. Understanding your identity in Christ is key to living out your purpose in life. We are not just an extension of our families or our cultural backgrounds; each of us were made with distinct gifts and talents that make us uniquely who we are. It is important to recognize these gifts and use them to serve the world around you.
Where Do I Come From?
The second question we must ask ourselves is “Where do I come from?” This is a question of origin. We need to understand where our story begins so that we can properly discern God’s original intent for us as individuals. Knowing our roots helps us gain context on why certain steps were taken in our lives and how they have led us closer or further away from our divine purpose here on earth.
Where Am I Going?
The third question is “Where am I going?” This is a question of destiny. Our destinies are pre-ordained by God himself — He knows exactly what He has created each one of us for — and it's up to us to seek it out with faith and courage so that His plans may be fulfilled through us in this life time. There may be some bumps along the way but if you remain rooted in Him, He will always lead you back on track no matter how far off course you might stray!
Why Am I Here?
Finally, the fourth question: “Why am I here?” This is a question of purpose. Purpose gives meaning and direction to our lives; it provides insight into why we exist and what role we play in this world as individuals created by God Himself. That knowledge can help shape decisions moving forward—including which career paths should be pursued or relationships cultivated—so that more meaningful experiences can be had throughout life's journey!
In conclusion, knowing who you are, where you come from, where you're going, and why you're here are essential elements when discerning your purpose in life. Take time out today to reflect upon these four questions so that you may find clarity about your own individual path towards fulfilling God's plan for your existence! After all - isn't that why Jesus came--to show people the abundant life (John 10:10)? Let's strive towards walking out His mission together! Amen!
Isaiah 46:11 “ indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.” Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose."
