What Does Rehoboth Mean?
In Genesis 26:22, after repeated conflict over the wells he dug, Isaac moved again and dug another well. This time...
They did not fight him for it. Isaac named the place:
REHOBOTH
From the Hebrew רְחֹבוֹת — Reḥovōth, carrying the idea of a broad or spacious place.
Isaac declared:
“For now the LORD has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”
But there is something important many people miss.
Isaac's journey did not end at Rehoboth.
He continued to Beersheba—the place associated with covenant, worship, and renewed encounter with God.
That means biblical enlargement is about more than receiving room.
It is about learning how to steward the room God provides.

We will trace one of Scripture's fascinating recurring themes:
The Well.
From Hagar...
Abraham...
Isaac...
Jacob...
Moses...
to Jesus and the Samaritan woman...
we will explore how wells repeatedly appear in biblical narratives involving provision, covenant, encounter, community, and God's faithfulness.
Then we arrive at Jesus.
“Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst.” — John 4:14
We will discover why every earthly well ultimately points us beyond itself toward Christ—the giver of Living Water.
WEEK FOUR
Governing the Broad Place
Capacity • Integrity • Influence • Legacy
God does not increase influence merely to increase our importance. He entrusts influence so that we can serve more faithfully.
Our final week moves from enlargement into stewardship.
Through Isaiah 54, Luke 16, Ephesians 4, 2 Timothy 2, and other passages, we will study:
